PBS FRONTLINE

In this film, FRONTLINE and the Financial Times investigate how a pharmaceutical company profited from a fentanyl-based painkiller. I was the Associate Producer and an investigative reporter on a few projects about the opioid crisis for PBS including a PBS Newshour segment, a teaser, and the final 1-hour documentary, Opioids, Inc. (see above) which was produced in partnership with the Financial Times. For these pieces, I also served as the archival producer, the fact checker, researcher, field producer, and occasional second camera. I booked our subjects and shoot locations, prepared call sheets, and developed sources through my own investigative reporting. I also managed the graphics team, our assistant editor, our intern and all deliverables for Frontline. Additionally, I contributed reporting for print pieces in partnership with the Financial Times. Opioids, Inc. was the winner of the 2021 Gerald Loeb Award for excellence in financial video journalism.

In this film, FRONTLINE and The New York Times investigate how Boeing’s 737 Max jet resulted in two catastrophic crashes between 2018 and 2019 that killed 346 people. I served as the associate producer, investigative reporter, assistant editor, archival and field producer on this 1-hour retrospective report. Boeing’s Fatal Flaw was the winner of the 2022 News & Documentary Emmy for “Outstanding Business, Consumer or Economic Coverage.”
